Bulletin board posts
The bulletin board (the "Bulletin board" section in the app) is the main communication channel between the committee and owners. Here owners find all announcements — from routine information to urgent alerts.
Who can publish

Four post categories
When creating a post you must choose a category — owners can filter the bulletin board by category, so correct categorization saves time.

All categories send the same type of email — the category serves only for visual distinction and filtering. For truly urgent messages consider another channel as well (phone, SMS).
How to create an announcement
- Bulletin board in the side menu
- Click "New post"
- Fill in:

Pinning posts
Pinned posts are displayed at the very top of the bulletin board, separately from the rest. Use them for:
- A current emergency situation
- An open vote with an approaching deadline
- Long-term information (contacts, operating hours)
In the post detail click "Pin". To unpin, click "Unpin" again.
Too many pinned posts reduces their effect. Pin at most 2–3 posts at a time and unpin once the reason has passed.
Visibility scope
OpenResi has two ways to limit who sees a post:
Entrance visibility
If a building has multiple entrances, for each post you can choose whether it is displayed:
- For all entrances (default — the whole community)
- Only for a specific entrance (e.g. entrance A — Hviezdoslavova 12)
This is useful, for example, during maintenance in one entrance, or if an entrance has its own internet router that is temporarily down.
Cross-entrance visibility (configurable)
In Settings → Building details there is a "Owners across entrances" toggle:
- On — an owner from entrance A sees announcements for entrance B as well
- Off — each entrance sees only its own announcements
Default: off for greater privacy between entrances.
Editing and deleting
In the post detail you have:
- "Edit" — change title, content, category (the original author is preserved)
- "Pin / Unpin"
- "Delete" — removes the post and all related data
Sometimes it is better to edit a post rather than delete it — owners who have already read it will see the updated version. Use delete only if the content was wrong or misleading.
Email notifications
After a post is published, OpenResi decides whether to send an email notification:
- Yes, if the owner has not turned off notifications for that category
- Yes, if they did not recently receive another announcement of the same category (dedup window — typically 1 hour)
- No, if the same announcement has already been delivered (checked by the combination of post + recipient + kind)
Thanks to this dedup logic, there is no spam, even if you accidentally edit a post 5 times in a row.
Templates (planned)
In the future we are preparing post templates for recurring situations — for example an invitation to a meeting, a billing announcement, an elevator outage. Templates come pre-filled; you only add the details.
Mobile app
OpenResi is primarily a web app, so you create posts in a browser — it also works on mobile. For quick publishing you can add the "New post" page to your phone's home screen.
