Account and Sign-in​

How do I register for OpenResi?​

You don't create an account yourself — the HOA chairman or administrator creates one for you and sends you an invitation email. It contains an activation link (valid for 14 days).

I forgot my password, what should I do?​

The "Forgot password" feature is not yet available in OpenResi. Please contact your HOA chairman — they can reset your account and send a new activation invitation.

Can I change my email address?​

Yes, in the Settings → Profile section. After changing your email, you'll sign in using the new address.

Unit Information​

My unit details (ownership share, number) are incorrect. Who can fix this?​

These details can only be changed by the HOA chairman. Reach out via the building's contact info or by email — once corrected, you'll see the updated details too.

What data does the app store about me?​

OpenResi processes personal data only to the extent necessary for the HOA to function. See the details in Data Processing Consent.

Voting​

Is electronic voting legally binding?​

Yes. OpenResi complies with the requirements of § 14b zákona č. 182/1993 Z. z. on the ownership of apartments and non-residential premises. A vote recorded through the app carries the same weight as a signature on a paper ballot.

Can I change my vote after submitting it?​

It depends on the type of voting. For electronic voting, yes — as long as the vote is still open. For paper voting, no — the paper ballot is recorded as final. More in the voting section.

My spouse and I own our unit 50/50. Do we both vote?​

Yes, but the ownership share is split according to the co-ownership. More in Co-ownership.

Notifications​

How do I turn off emails about new announcements?​

In Settings → Notifications you can disable individual notification types (announcements, voting, meetings).

Technical​

What app do I need to install?​

None — OpenResi runs in your browser at cloud.open-resi.app. It works on both mobile and desktop. You can add the site to your phone's home screen (Add to Home Screen) and use it like an app.

Does OpenResi work offline?​

No, you need an internet connection to vote and load announcements.

How do I contact support?​
