For unit owners

This section is for unit owners in a building managed through OpenResi. If you are an HOA chairman or a committee member, see the section for HOA chairmen.

What role you have in the app

After signing in, you only see what you are authorised for. As an owner you can:

ActionWhere
Read announcements from the chairman and committeeAnnouncements in the side menu, also on the dashboard
Vote on resolutionsVoting in the side menu
RSVP to meetingsCommunity → Events
Comment on community postsThe "Add comment" button on each event
Download voting minutesThe detail page of a closed vote
Track billing and paymentsAfter the accounting module launches — more in Accounting
Edit your profile and notificationsSettings

What as an owner you cannot do

  • Create new votes — this is done by the HOA chairman or the vote counter
  • Add or edit owners and units
  • Publish announcements on behalf of the HOA
  • See data about other owners beyond public voting results

If you need any of the above, contact the HOA chairman.

If you own multiple units in the building

If you own more than one unit in the same building, OpenResi detects this automatically. When voting, you vote separately for each unit — more in Voting as an owner.

If your unit is owned by multiple people (co-ownership)

Spouses, siblings or other co-owners of the same unit can each vote on their own behalf. The app automatically weights the result by ownership shares under § 14 of Act No. 182/1993 Coll. More in Co-ownership.
