Notifications
OpenResi sends you email notifications about important events in your building — so you don't have to open the application every day. Visit this page if you want to adjust which notifications you receive.
Where to find the settings
In the "Profile" section, go to the "Notifications" block.
Optional notifications
OpenResi has two types of notifications that you can turn off:

Each type has a toggle (on / off). The change is saved immediately on click — no confirmation button needed.
Do not turn off the voting notification if you want to actively participate in your building's decisions — it can be critical that you learn about a new vote in time (within the set deadline).
Mandatory notifications (cannot be turned off)
The following emails are always delivered — either the law requires it or you would otherwise miss something critical:

These emails are delivered transactionally — always after the given action, regardless of your profile settings.
Push notifications
In addition to emails, you can enable browser push notifications — instant alerts without needing to open the app.

Push notifications are currently enabled together for all types — you cannot enable push for announcements but disable it for voting. Emails have a more granular setting.
Email frequency
OpenResi is anti-spam:
- We do not send aggregated daily / weekly digests — only real events
- We deduplicate — if you would receive the same announcement again shortly afterwards (e.g. the chairman edits a post 3× in a row), we only send the first email
- Per-owner per-source — we track whether you have already received a given announcement and don't resend it
This way your inbox does not get flooded.
What to do if notifications aren't arriving

| Emails arrive but push doesn't | The browser blocked the permission | In your profile click "Allow push notifications" again and grant permission in the browser |

Planned enhancements
We are preparing for the future:
- SMS notifications for urgent situations
- Granular push notifications (separate for announcements / votes / events)
- Custom reminders for the owner (e.g. "Remind me 24h before voting ends")
- Weekly digest as an alternative for those who want fewer emails
